ACREX was launched in 1990, and first came to Mumbai in 1996, with a footfall of 2,000 visitors using about 5,000 square metres of show space. The expanding Indian market has continued to attract increasing numbers of international companies allowing ACREX to grow its attendance steadily over the years. This year’s ACREX welcomed over 30,000 visitors and filled 30,000 square metres of exhibition space. Additionally, the 17th edition of ACREX had 25 participating countries and 400 exhibitors.
On the sidelines of ACREX 2016, Akbar Bharmal shared his appreciation of the ControlTrends initiative, in terms of training and skill development in the Building Automation and Controls space. He voiced the need for greater collaboration with the Indian Society Of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) for a training audience over a wider platform.
